Purpose
Connection Coach is an AI-powered tool designed to help coaches, counselors, and educators facilitate deeper reflection and emotional awareness in their students. Rather than replacing human judgment, it amplifies the coach's ability to identify patterns, track growth, and provide timely, empathetic feedback.
Core Philosophy: Connection Coach operates on the principle of human-centered AI - it doesn't diagnose or prescribe, but rather helps coaches ask better questions, recognize emotional patterns, and document progress over time.

Core Interactions
Story Intake
Students share experiences through text or voice. The system identifies emotional themes without judgment or labeling.
Student Reflection
Guided prompts help students explore their own feelings and responses, building emotional vocabulary and self-awareness.
Weekly Dashboard
Coaches see patterns over time - recurring themes, emotional growth, and areas where additional support might help.
Privacy-First Design
All data remains local or encrypted. No student PII is shared with third parties. Full parental consent and transparency.
Data Policy
No PII Collection: Connection Coach is designed as a local-first prototype. Student names, identifiable information, and sensitive data never leave the secure environment. All processing happens on-device or within encrypted institutional systems.
Transparency: Students and parents see exactly what data is collected, how it's used, and how long it's retained. Full audit trails available on request.

Technical Approach
